- (General Dispatch) – Through a resolution of the European Parliament, the European Union was decreed as a “territory of freedom” for people of the LGBT community by an overwhelming majority.
- The fact was manifested as an effort made to mitigate the increase of homophobia highlighted in Poland and elsewhere.
- The parliamentary session held in Brussels last Wednesday resulted in a vote of 492 votes in favor and 141 against. The support of a large majority was outstanding.
- The opponents of this achievement consider that the perception conceived for years that maintains the union between a man and a woman is degraded, with the approval of amparos like this. Therefore, the Polish government expressed its repudiation.
- Of course, this is a great support to the LGBT community, after so many years of abuse and discrimination, because they also have a place in society and are important.
- Although it is true that this achievement represents a great advance, Hungary represents a great obstacle, because it prohibits the legal recognition of transgender and intersex people, which other nations join.
- The demonstrations of joy by the LGBT community were celebrated, because it undoubtedly promotes equality among members of society.
- It is clear that gender ideologies are issues that are gaining more acceptances in the world, through the constant struggles that both legislators and the LGBT community are currently trying to win.
