- (General Dispatch) – Kim Yo- Jong, younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un issued a statement addressing and warning President Joe Biden, “not to get involved in matters that don’t concern you if you don’t want to have nightmares.”
- Yo- Jong has acknowledged that the US is now presided over by a new administration and had not issued any other information about the US through the North Korean media since the attack on the capitol.
- Reuters has reported that the White House has attempted to establish communication with the dictatorial country but has had no response. The only president who managed to meet twice personally with President Kim Jong-un was Donald Trump, who succeeded in getting them to cease nuclear missile practices.
- Secretary Antony Blinken is touring the Asian continent in order to strengthen diplomacy with different countries and discuss security measures as North Korea poses a threat to the world.
- Yo- Jong only issued a message without giving further details to Biden “If you want to sleep in peace for the next four years, you had better refrain from causing a stench in the first step” maybe it was some warning but the White House has not commented on it.
- Yo- Jong focused much of the statement on warning South Korea not to make a mistake in their actions, as defensive military exercises will be held in order to protect their country.
- The two Koreas have been at war for years, and in 1953 the nations ceased hostilities, but did not sign any peace treaty, currently there is an armistice which is an agreement where both countries cease combat while discussing a possible peace.
- Yo- Jong also pronounced himself before the military exercises carried out by the US together with South Korea saying that they are “ridiculous, reckless and stupid”, on the other hand he concludes that North Korea is planning to dissolve the “Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country” which was intended to be an intermediary in agreements between the two Koreas.
