- Consequently, the chief expressed that the “situation is under control” that he would not execute Trump’s policies, which means that the country will continue to receive migrants.
- At least 4,000 children are being held by the Border Patrol since Sunday, all of this contemplated in the guidelines issued by Joe Biden’s administration.
- For this reason, Border Patrol officials, who preferred not to reveal their identity, stated that official figures cannot be deliberately released, that each day that passes this situation worsens and escapes from their hands.
- For this reason, some members of Congress from the Republican Party have also expressed their opposition to the measures, increasing the pressure on President Biden.
- As a result, the numbers of the flow of immigrants continues to increase, the emphasis of the crisis is oriented towards the fact that many of them are minors without parents or representatives, a fact that causes greater risk.
- According to statistical information, at least 60% of children and adolescents have crossed the border, out of the total mass that is still waiting to cross.
- Meanwhile, border agencies are looking for places of refuge for the large number of immigrants already in U.S. territory.
