Murphy: Guard officials should be at the border

  • By Joergen Haisem
  • (General Dispatch) – Republican Rep. Greg Murphy said in an interview with host Joel Pollak that the military on Capitol Hill should be guarding the border.
  • Murphy introduced a bill calling on Congress to send the military forces currently guarding Washington DC to the border to deal with the serious crisis that is occurring.
  • An interview with law enforcement added that there are no threats, that the perimeter has been completely calm and that the money being wasted from taxpayers should be used for other purposes.
  • However, it is assumed that there are around 2200 guard officers, while there is a serious crisis on the border since Biden took office; the immigrant issue has been in chaos.
  • The Democrats support the waste of money, with a supposed terrorism theory, arguing that the capitol can be attacked again, when the police forces say the opposite.
  • Since this new measure was activated, access to the public has been limited, and it has been more than two months since the security regulations were taken, at this point the Republicans said that such security should be ended.
  • According to Rep. Murphy, “Nancy Pelosi and her team have built a fortress around Washington, DC, for no reason. The Capitol Police have said there are no credible threats, but unfortunately now we still have ten feet of barbed wire. We have 2,200 National Guardsmen standing in the cold and rain protecting us from something that doesn’t exist.”
  • Murphy said the National Guard is needed to deal with national emergencies, and that is exactly what is happening at the border, where the Border Patrol has been unable to control the large number of immigrants who are trying to enter the country.
