- According to information presented by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, infections increased 40% in the last week, while hospital admissions increased by 28% after a period of great stability.
- The minister expressed that it was a very difficult decision to relapse into last year’s dynamics, but the vulnerability in mass groups of people is latent and can be worse.
- The regulation specifies that both schools and universities will not open their doors to take classes in person, since it is totally forbidden.
- Statistics show that the highest incidence of covid 19 infection is among the population between 10 and 19 years of age.
- In spite of the attempts to distribute the vaccine, Croo assures that it is not enough and that the crisis forces them to be decisive before there are more events to regret.
- It should be noted that the main activities will continue to be open following a special rigorous protocol, so that citizens can have access to the supplies required for their daily lives. It is expected to return to normality in the coming weeks.
