- (General Dispatch) – Tarrant County health officials issued a warning to the congregation of people planning to attend the Texas Rangers game.
- Health authorities are very concerned about the presence of crowds at the sports venue, as this could lead to a new wave of covid-19 infections.
- Health director Vinny Taneja urged sports fans to be sensible and wait for the return to normality before they have to regret any more incidents caused by the virus.
- The Rangers’ attendance exceeded the limits established for a health emergency, with at least 38,238 people gathered last Monday.
- Once again, biosecurity measures are violated, mainly social distancing and the concentration of large numbers of people, even when the fans have been vaccinated.
- Probably, the low record of positive cases and deaths in Tarrant County will propitiate a scenario to return to normality, the pandemic has not passed, alleged one of the health officials.
- So far, no major incidents have been reported after large congregations. However, it is necessary to prevent a new wave of contagions.
- It can be inferred that the desire of the fans is great after having been restricted from their favorite sports for a year. But care and protection is the task of all Americans.
