- (General Dispatch) – This Monday, the Brooklyn Center Police Department unveiled the official video that recorded the events of Sunday when Daunte Wright, perpetrator of the Minneapolis shooting, was fleeing from authorities.
- Police noted that during the unfolding crime they thought everything looked like he fired his Taser. That fact was confusing at first.
- In the evidence collected after the events recorded, police were able to determine that the defendant had a warrant for his arrest. Although the charges were not specified in the official statement.
- During the incident, a police officer shot at Wright in an attempt to stop him, causing the vehicle to roll a few meters before colliding with another vehicle.
- The officer who fired the shots was placed on administrative leave and his identity was not released.
- The deceased Wright met a tragic end as he died minutes after being shot.
- Following Sunday’s events, protesters carried out violent attacks on police and other law enforcement agencies in protest of the shooting.
- Finally, the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz spoke out about all the violent acts perpetrated on Sunday, regretting Wright’s death and sent his condolences to his family.
