- (General Dispatch) – Burgess Owens called it “disgusting and offensive” for Joe Biden and Democrats to compare Georgia’s Election Law to the legislation once enforced by Jim Crow.
- During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, the representative explained that what it truly meant to live under Jim Crow law was to be subjected to a life on the margins of whites because of racial discrimination.
- In that sense, Owens asserted that the limitations of racial discrimination at that time did represent impossibility for black Americans to vote.
- In other words, the representative legitimizes and strongly supports the recently approved Georgia Electoral Law.
- According to Owens, the constant opinions of left-wing representatives, Democrats and senators are extremely offensive when compared to Jim Crow laws.
- One of the most repugnant points for Owens lies in the comments that blacks are not intelligent or educated enough to practice the culture of the white race.
- However, he claims that the real racism is practiced by the Democratic party.
- Surely, asking people to identify themselves in order to vote is very different from highlighting white supremacy was the message Owens sent to President Joe Biden at the end of his eloquence.
