Amazon Cancels Best-Selling Author for Opposing Transgenderism

  • By Jennifer Prill
  • (General Dispatch) –  Ryan T. Anderson is the name of the author of one of amazon’s bestsellers called When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, a book that was removed from the company’s sales platform without explanation.
  • The strange thing about the situation is that the book was launched three years ago on the platform, during which time it had not had any problems, but today, coincidentally, just days before a law in favor of gender equality is voted in Congress, the book is vetoed from the platform.
  • Although the reasons for the veto have not yet been clarified, the author assures that the book does not attack or seek to create an opinion against transgender people which is why the censorship is incomprehensible.
  • Anderson claimed to have tried to communicate with the platform multiple times, which apparently has simply decided not to respond to the fact.
  • The news has reached the political wing where Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerney addressed a letter asking the company to be more tolerant of the opinions of every American citizen.
  • “Corporate media censorship, such as Amazon’s scrubbing of a heretical book, is accelerating, and the government is right alongside, pushing for censorship with increasing force.” The letter said
  • For his part, Anderson said “It’s as if a whole bunch of booksellers all got together and decided to blacklist a book just because they disagreed with its thesis. My prediction is that in the short run I’ll sell thousands more copies of the book thanks to Amazon’s censorship.”
  • The book has been acclaimed by experts in the field who believe that the author explains a clear and broad point of view on transgender ideology, so far amazon is not pronouncing on the fact but it seems to be as Anderson said that sales of the book will increase.
