Climate Summit Meets for Second Day and Joe Biden to Discuss Technology and Economy

  • (General Dispatch) – This Friday will mark the second and final day of the climate summit, during which the administration of current President Joe Biden will propose actions to counteract global warming.
  • To address issues related to technology and innovation, the United States sent climate specialist John Kerry, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.
  • The summit, hosted by Joe Biden, seeks to bring together leaders from various nations to promote efforts to contribute to climate change.
  • Of equal importance, during the virtual session, the ministers of Israel and Norway and the executive director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, among many others, will also participate early in the morning.
  • The inaugural opening of the summit was held on Thursday in celebration of Earth Day, where the United States will promote measures to reduce carbon emissions by half by 2030.
  • This Friday, the summit is expected to address the issues of economic opportunities in climate action, and the positive effects it can generate. 
  • In essence, the summit aims to create conventional strategies to counteract the effects caused by global warming and boost the economies of nations.
  • Finally, it will be this Friday at 9:15 am when the different representatives of the nations will consolidate their meeting and will be able to communicate the agreements reached during the development of the summit.
