Addressing Congress, Joe Biden Celebrates One Hundred Days in Office

  • By Joergen Haisem
  • (General Dispatch) – On Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden celebrated 100 days in office by addressing Congress, declaring that the country is “turning danger into possibility”.
  • Biden used the rally, which drew a large television audience; to promote a $1.8 trillion spending package that he said will transform the lives of Americans.
  • The president also presented to Congress a vision for life after the pandemic in the United States, ensuring the distribution of mass vaccines starting this Saturday, May 1.
  • Nevertheless, Biden convinced senators that he is turning crisis into opportunity and problems into solutions in his first 100 days in office.
  • Meanwhile, the President continued to try to persuade the Senate to support each of the bills that are under construction, because in the coming days they will be converted into forceful actions.
  • After a long awaited speech, both the public and other members present listened to a little more of President Biden’s repeated phrases, without incorporating a new element.
  • The arguments used by the White House continue to be more of the same, with no mention of effective policies to attack the border crisis or the giant taxes that corporations will have to pay.
  • As expected, his counterparts and loyal allies applauded from their seats the glories obtained during a hundred days in power, while the reality of the country continues to be different from what was expected.
