British Police Chief Resigns Over Mismanagement

  • By John Deloria
  • (General Dispatch) –  Andy Marsh, the chief of Avon and Somerset Police Station, announced his resignation after being accused of mismanagement and damaging the reputation of the police force.
  • Marsh’s leadership was not at its best a year ago when he failed to act when a group of protesters representing Black Lives Matter knocked down an iconic statue, and his police officers took no action to stop them.
  • Marsh’s response to lower the tension was that no action was taken to avoid an escalation of the confrontation with the protesters, but security was maintained to prevent them from setting the city on fire.
  • On the other hand Marsh in subsequent protests was accused of being ineffective in allowing members of the Antifa mob to set fire to some police vehicles including the New Bridewell police station.
  • Reporters were seriously injured in a police action with excessive force, where they brutalized protesters with riot shields, and it was evidenced through social media.
  • In an attempt to cover up these brutal actions Marsh filed a false report claiming that the protesters had injured 20 of his officers and one was seriously admitted to a hospital for a punctured lung.
  • Marsh’s management brought Avon and Somerset police to its worst reputation, singled out as inconsistent, apart from being under the influence of politics, using police force in a more abrupt manner against people who express anti-state views.
  • Minister Pitrii Patel stated that when the police reports were not delivered at short notice, the security of the police authorities were at their lowest level, although Marsh resigned, it does not ensure an excellent prognosis for the tranquility of the British community, the conflicts on the streets will continue in the long term despite the directive being changed.
