Ron Desantis said that Financial Support to the Police will be Maintained

  • By Joergen Haisem
  • (General Dispatch) – Florida Governor Ron Desantis said through Breitbart News following the passage of the “riot control bill” that at no time has he considered eliminating financial support for police.
  • The state senate has approved the new measure, which the governor proposed, seeing the need, as other states led by Democratic officials have witnessed an increase in violence in their states.
  • “The bluer an area is, the worse it is governed. I mean it’s a disaster what we’ve seen. It’s always been the case in my lifetime, but I think in the last year, it’s gotten worse between the COVID blockades and the riots,” Desantis said referring to the blue by Democratic-led areas.
  • Santis said that the law must be applied, if there are cases of violence it must be applied strictly as established by the rules and not be flexible as the democrat members have been.
  • The governor affirmed that because he is governor he cannot have absolute decision on the legislation, even though he will defend the law after the radical left has requested the withdrawal of funds for the approval of the bill.
  • However, the governor emphasized the conflicts that have been witnessed in Minneapolis where protesters have caused great destruction, and that the decisions that were made to deal with the conflict were incorrect.
  • However, from now on, the measures implemented are stricter, for those people who vandalize an infrastructure or vehicle, will be involved in a severe penalty before justice.
  • The governor said that the Democrats will probably try to find ways to make the law look “catastrophic”, however, he affirmed that the bill is very complete and will contribute to the safety of the state and its citizens.
