Boris Issues new Strategy for Undercover Police in Great Britain

  • By Joergen Haisem
  • (General Dispatch) – Minister Boris Johnson will implement a new strategy to reduce insecurity, implementing undercover police to catch suspects or sexual predators after the murder of London woman Sarah Everard.
  • Minister Boris “We must drive out violence against women and girls and make every part of the criminal justice system work to better protect and defend them,” Boris told The Times.
  • The strategy, also called “Project Vigilante,” involves authorities wearing civilian clothes and patrolling at night in places such as bars, pubs and clubs in order to apprehend individuals who engage in indecent behavior.
  • The director of Big Brother Watch, Silko Carlo, did not agree with Minister Boris’ brilliant idea, since having nightlife places full of police officers would make customers uncomfortable.
  • This controversial strategy has left a lot of questions in the population, as the person who kidnapped and murdered Sarah Everard was a policeman in South London, now women are wondering if they will be protected or feel even more threatened with undercover police.
  • A large number of people have spoken out for and against this measure. Journalist Martin Daubney said: “Anyone who thinks that undercover cops patrolling pubs will only be used to ‘protect women’ is not paying attention.”
  • Government advisor Nimco Ali, supported the initiative and through Good Morning Britain media, said that any act or violence against women should be punished regardless of the person doing it.
