  • By Joergen Haisem
  • (General Dispatch) – According to a poll conducted by Quinnipiac University, a large number of people are against the governor running in the next election.
  • According to the university, the governor’s popularity dropped drastically after his political scandals and job harassment. The survey showed a 48% negative rating and 39% in favor.
  • A big percentage difference compared to the poll taken at the beginning of March with a rating of 45% in favor and 46% against, according to the university “today’s figures mark the lowest job approval for Cuomo since he took office in 2011.”
  • Cuomo’s political career is not at its best, some Democrats have tried to support him, hiring an independent law firm to find a solution to the allegations.
  • The governor started to get into trouble when he falsified figures of nursing home deaths along with his labor team, Cuomo claimed he did it to avoid political problems with the Trump administration.
  • On the other hand, the Governor tried to promote a leadership book, but the publisher preferred to resign after the problem in which he was immersed, in addition to being denounced by his secretary for sexual harassment.
  • These types of incidents have made the governor’s credibility null; one of the questions in the survey was whether they would approve of Cuomo’s reelection, resulting in 66% for him not to run again.
  • The sample was of more than 900 people with a margin of error of 3.3% conducted on March 16 and 17, through mobile devices.
