Joe Biden: Donald Trump Did Not Confront China in Human Rights Context

  • By Ely Marquez
  • (General Dispatch) –  During a press conference held on Thursday, President Joe Biden was asked a question about China’s human rights abuses. In which he falsely claims that Trump did nothing.
  • Reactions to the controversial question arose immediately. It is clear that the Trump administration was the most rigid so far with China on the issue.
  • Regarding import agreements through trade treaties with the Chinese government, the president assured that they were contemplated in this new era.
  • The context of human rights violations carried out in the Asian country has been judged by the current government assuming a clear position in which, without further details, it does not interfere.
  • However, the White House has not executed sanction actions against the nation that insists on violating human rights, such as those developed during the Trump administration.
  • It is presumed, that Biden is interested in strengthening ties with China and creating new agreements, but leaving aside the internal affairs of the nation, which already clearly, China warned in previous days.
  • By contrast, Biden has a long history of overlooking China’s human rights abuses while pushing for Chinese participation in the World Trade Organization and while he and his families sought personal business deals related to the Chinese regime.
  • In short, this is yet another interest embraced by the Biden administration that satisfies the requirements of a designed planning that is beginning to become a reality.
