Biden Finally Allowed Some Reporters into Detention Centers

  • By John Deloria
  • (General Dispatch) – Only two reporters and a small group of cameramen finally managed to enter the Donnas Texas detention center guarded by the Border Patrol for several days.
  • The team was able to verify that 4,100 immigrant children are housed there, in a facility with a capacity of at least 250 people, which represents an overcrowding of 1700%.
  • After several days of insistence by the press, the White House had no alternative but to authorize the journalists. The journalists showed heartbreaking images of the conditions of the unaccompanied children from Mexico and Central America.
  • According to information provided by the acting senior officer in the region, Oscar Escamilla, 250 and up to 300 unaccompanied children enter the facilities daily.
  • It is worth noting that the small team that entered the facilities was able to observe how the children are cared for and verify their state of health and the sanitary conditions under which they enter.
  • Likewise, the infants are duly identified and a database is filled out to try to consolidate legitimate information, in addition to which they are given a uniform that identifies them, and the use of a face mask is mandatory.
  • At the same time, inside the facilities it was also possible to learn that there are young people over 14 years of age, who are separated from the capsules where the underage children are.
  • In summary, in spite of the attempts not to inform the nation, a goal desired by the press was achieved, today Wednesday the images are going around the world, because without a doubt there is a migratory and humanitarian crisis in the southern border of the United States.
