- (General Dispatch) – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo continues to generate political problems, reports were revealed about certain preference to his relatives to be tested for coronavirus.
- Previously there had been suspicions about this incident, but now 7 people have witnessed and affirmed this type of accusation, where Brother Chris Cuomo is implicated, of having visited the home of Eleanor Adams.
- One of the nurses who treated the family members related that when they were being tested they had it all planned out “And they were saying, ‘Have the state police ready … have them ready to go to Wadsworth.’ There was a lot of anxiety about those samples getting to the right place.”
- The nurse said Cuomo had ranked the people who should be prioritized for testing being mostly high society, while nursing homes needed them.
- The witnesses gave the statement to the Washington Post in view of the great annoyance generated by this action on the part of the governor when he was making ethics statements; however they preferred to remain anonymous for security reasons.
- Rich Azzopardi representing Cuomo spoke out on the allegations and said “There was no ‘VIP’ program as described by the Washington Post; when priority was given; it was to nurses, guards, state workers and other government officials critical to the pandemic response and those with whom they were in direct contact.”
- Chris Cuomo’s representative did not issue a statement about the allegations, even though Chris had said in 2020 that anyone could have such testing.
- Anthony Fauci also weighed in and said “You can say that anyone who wants a test can get one, and they know that’s nonsense, because you and I know that we know people in our lives that can’t get tested.”
