- (General Dispatch) – New polls have found that U.S. residents disagree with President Biden’s policies on the border.
- Even some of these polls are below 50% because President Biden has not implemented policies that would decrease the influx of immigrants, and the number of children without their representatives.
- According to the Morning Consult poll stated in March that 49% disagree with Biden’s policies, Democrats have warned the president to act quickly to curb the border crisis.
- “The swift movement came from across the political spectrum, with the share of Democrats who disapprove of his handling of immigration rising 11 points (to 20 percent), and the share of Republicans who said the same increased 7 points (to 84 percent), since Biden took office,” Morning Consult said.
- On the other hand, the National Public Radio poll reported that only 34% of citizens support Biden’s policies of allowing immigrants to enter the country without excessive controls.
- An ABC News poll reported that more than 55% disagreed with Biden’s policies because of the number of children in the nation’s care, not to mention the increase in violence by immigrants who have records and are wanted by their countries of origin.
- However, the Biden administration managed to give the media access to the detention centers who reported that they are overcrowded, for this reason it is expected that other facilities can be enabled, and thus avoid the spread of covid 19, since they do not have biosecurity measures, endangering the health of immigrants and border authorities.
