Antifa Protesters Set Fire in Portland ICE Building
- By Joergen Haisem
- (General Dispatch) – Members of the Antifa social movement in Portland, Oregon, set fire to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building.
- The incident began after protesters broke windows on one of the building’s levels, blocking the main entrances and trapping several staff members inside the building.
- The evidence of the violence registered on Saturday night was quickly disseminated through the social network Twitter, where the intensity of the demonstration is clearly observed.
- Apparently, several of the demonstrators tried to affect the security cameras of the place moments before starting the fire, to avoid being identified.
- The concurrence of the events had a special emphasis on the fact that the Antifa group could have provoked the death of the officers because they acted with premeditation and malice aforethought.
- According to the protesters’ slogans, their purpose was to set fire to the entire building until the fire consumed everything.
- In this sense, the ICE officers managed to escape through an access way at the back of the building.
- Fortunately, there were no human losses in the incident sponsored by the Antifa social movement, however it is expected that the authorities investigate the facts to penalize those responsible.
