Research Predicted Possible Attack by Terrorist Usman Khan In UK

  • By Steph. G. Halston.
  • (General Dispatch) – An investigation by authorities predicted that terrorist Usman Khan might carry out an attack before serving his sentence at Whitemoor Prison.
  • Although the terrorist had committed certain crimes he was released in the month of December 2018, however soon after he was rearrested for stabbing two people at a prisoner rehabilitation celebration.
  • Studies had claimed that Khan was once more a citizen who might be entered into society with no trouble; however the terrorist managed to persuade his lawyer and the other authorities.
  • The Guardian media presented a report by Kings College London on jihadists, reporting on terrorists who act differently in prison so that they can be released before their proposed sentence.
  • While in prison, Khan repeatedly told authorities he was remorseful for his crimes, and the plan he apparently had in 2010 to blow up the London Stock Exchange.
  • The deradicalization program is being criticized for its effectiveness apart from the report presented by King’s College stating that for a jihadist to be fully rehabilitated is complicated
  • “The only way a jihadist can demonstrate that they have renounced violent extremism is if they have sung like a canary and provided damaging information about the networks that recruited them.” Said former Al Qaeda operative Aimen Dean.
  • The Independent Reviewer of Terrorist Legislation, Jonathan Hall QC said terrorists are often very deceptive, although he did not give a clear answer on the deradicalization program, he claimed terrorists either do not attend, or try to disrupt the sessions.
