- (General Dispatch) – The FBI is under investigation by Gov. Andrew Cuomo for withholding data demanded by the Trump administration about nursing homes, how Covid had affected them and how many deceased there were in his state.
- Republicans have asked House Speaker Carolyn Maloney to subpoena Governor Andrew Cuomo to testify before the authority about the misinformation he was asked to provide.
- What started as administrative malpractice took a turn when Governor Cuomo confessed that they hid the data because Trump would use it against Democrats.
- Such information led lawmakers to call for the emergency powers granted to Governor Cuomo to be revoked after a year of failing to provide clear figures on deaths in the state.
- Rep. Elise Stefanik, a Republican, called on the governor to step down over the withholding of information and allegations of sexual harassment of his former secretary.
- Lindsey Boylan former deputy secretary of economic development and special counsel alleged that the governor took unwanted actions toward her, wanting to force a kiss on her without her approval, after which he invited her to play strip poker in October 2017.
- Republican Elise Stefanik took a pointed shot at the governor, saying “Governor Cuomo has earned his title as the worst governor in America, and now every New Yorker knows he is a criminal sexual predator.”
- Republican Stefanik showed great indignation at this fact and said that any politician who violates the sexual integrity of his workers should not be in office and must be brought to justice. For now, the facts are still being taken into account to make a decision on the governor’s behavior.
